Gasket technology

It is often necessary to rework some of the hydraulic components while doing some repairs.

Practical examples:
  • The cylinder tube is grooved and has to be honed.
  • The lining grooves are heavily rusted and worn, and have to be turned to a smaller or larger diameter.
  • The piston bar is damaged and has to be honed and chromium plated.


In those cases it is not advisable to re-use the old (hitherto existing) standard gaskets. A premature breakdown is bound to happen.

We, the Launhardt Hydraulik GmbH, have been successfully using special manufactured gaskets, scrapers, guidance components, etc in such cases, for many years.

We know from experience it is more economic to adapt the sealing elements of hydraulic components; especially in “inch”-measurements, as well as, larger dimensions over 100 mm up to 4,000 mm diameters for new machines and repairs.
